The ICG was opened on 28th March 2009 by former England cricketer Mike Gatting.

The need for a sustainable indoor cricket facility in Guernsey has been an issue for the local governing body for some time.

Playing numbers have increased significantly on a yearly basis at both junior and senior level for the past five years due to the expanding junior development programmes in place. All schools in Guernsey play cricket and receive support from the development structure. The game is in a boom phase and the demand for training facilities, indoor leagues and good administration facilities grows. Likewise, other sports in Guernsey struggle to find indoor sporting areas available on the Island.

ICG is more than just cricket with a full range of childrens parties,  multi-sport coaching and corporate opportunities on offer alongside so much more.
